Adelaide, Newcastle and England on the internet

I’m doing a few festival appearances over the next few months. First up: Adelaide Writers Week (which is next week):

Newcastle Writers Festival is on 6-8 April and I’m doing a couple of sessions on the Saturday:

Meanwhile, I was utterly delighted to get a six-star (out of five) rating from UK book blogger Simon Savidge. You can watch Simon talk about From the Wreck, and about how he wants to read more Australian authors (send him your books, fellow writers).

  1. SIX stars! Such a dream review. I love how Simon lists all the different elements that he usually dislikes in a book and then explains why they all work in yours! And so great what he says about getting more Aussie books into the UK.

I finally bought From the Wreck the other day (late to the party, have been meaning to read it for ages). So looking forward to getting stuck in!

  2. You’re a star Jane (6 times over). And an interesting review too – didn’t know about Simon Savidge

Won’t see you in Adelaide but on Wednesday I’ll be at the Wheeler Centre to see/hear Sarah Sentilles talking about ‘Draw Your Weapons’ – thanks to your 2017 recommendations.

  3. I’m sure you don’t need to be wished luck with public appearances (glad it’s you not me!). I’ve read McKinnon and Coleman, and you of course, and would love to be at your talks, you are all three doing marvellous things mixing speculative and literary fiction.

  4. Wow, this guy really likes your book.

    xx
